Northern Lights Paper

Add water to several Perfect Pearl colors to form creamy paints.

Mix Paints

Sprits matte paper with Perfect Ink Refresher (the PIR will put some slip and slid in the paper and allows the pigments to move around on the matte paper - you can use plain water, but there wont be as much movement) Quickly dab the paints over the entire surface.

Paint Strokes

Spray with a fine mist of water.

Spray with Water

Manipulate the paper to make the paint run, spray with more water while holding the paper vertical if you want the pigments to blend more.

Blend Colors

A variation to the Northern Lights Paper is to add veins and textures making the paper look like stone. Use a crumpled paper towel to make veins and texture while the paints are wet.

Paper towel Pouncing

Your finished piece will make a beautiful shimmery paper to work with.
